Hands of Hope:
Our Story

Supporting communities throughout Rother, Hastings and West Kent, The Hands of Hope have been restoring & developing a neglected Edwardian Walled Kitchen Garden & 22 acres of AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) land in Hawkhurst on the Kent and East Sussex border “Hope Farm Community Garden”, whilst conserving the site’s natural, community and environmental heritage.

Using Growing, Cooking and Nature-based activities, our mission is to “Improve the health and wellbeing of people and planet by connecting communities to nature and each other.

VISION
To become a beacon and landmark at the heart of the community with focus on tackling food poverty, loneliness and rural isolation as well as improving physical & mental health by connecting people to nature and to each other.
MISSION
Combining natural and community heritage, we aim to teach people and their communities’ practical ways to sustain, conserve, protect and improve the natural environment by connecting them with nature and each other.
